QYS welcomes Orange Youth Soccer into its program. MAYS and MYSA has officially approved the new QYS expansion. This new partnership provides residents of Orange with both local recreational inter-league and competitive travel soccer options. Additionally Orange residents will also have access to QYS training camps, clinics and development programs offered to all its members. Orange soccer consists of approximatley 180 players. Our expectation is that a large number of those players will participate in the inter-league program. Orange players currently participating in neighboring travel programs and the Nashoba Valley League will be granted a waiver exemption through Spring 2013 if they wish to stay on their current teams.

All residents of Orange interested in competitive travel soccer should register online. All players interested in recreational inter-league soccer should contact Orange rep Jason Vautour, there is currently no online registration for inter-league play.

In support of QYS's new "ladder up" philosophy we have formed a strong partnership with the young start up premier club SCOR FC . Based in neighboring Rutland SCOR FC is a young and fast growing soccer club offering premier level competition in Western Worcester County. Made up of parents, players and coaches committed to building a quality soccer club that is affordable, honest and approachable. Their fees are on average 75% lower than on-field club soccer competitors. It's primary mission is not to make money, but to develop our youth. They remain committed to providing an affordable option to families.

January 2012 SCOR FC reaches an agreement with it's new Director of Coaching (DOC) Rick Lindsten, who will be instrumental in the development of SCOR coaches and player programs.Mr. Lindsten has an extensive resume including international and NCAA coaching, 8 years with John Smith Soccer Academy, 11 years as Wachusett girls varsity (a 14th national ranking). Mr Lindsten holds several state, regional and national lisences, including his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma. Fall 2012 Mr Lindsten will be entering his second year as Quabbin Regional Boys Varsity coach.

Spring 2012 QYS will bring back professional trainers from the UK to work with our U6/U8 instructional inter-league through thru U12 teams. This is a NSCAA certified coach and team development program. The training format will be slightly different. We will an academy training format on designated days. Trainer time and costs will be shared with SCOR FC. More news to come.
